The Weaving Word

Weaving together the threads that make up my passion for the written word…as an author, editor, and follower of The Word.

Inspiration Sunday!

This humorous quote really hit home with me, as a writer of allegorical fiction (with an affinity for world building) and as a Christian. There have been times when I’ve thought I must be crazy for what I’m trying to attempt with my series. Boy am I glad that I’m only responsible for a made up world and not the real one! Incidentally, with Into the Shadow Wood complete, my next “blank page” is now before me as I prepare to write book three of my Wind Rider Chronicles series.

A blank piece of paper is God’s way of telling us how hard it is to be God.

Absolutely!! Having to come up with the physics that runs the universe? The anatomy of monsters and made-up creatures? As well as the history and cultures and various personalities, why things happened and how, and trying to be “all-knowing”? Not possible, and thankfully, not necessary.

This quote makes me think of “The Mind of The Maker” by Dorothy Sayers. Have you read it?
