The Weaving Word

Weaving together the threads that make up my passion for the written word…as an author, editor, and follower of The Word.

Inspiration Sunday!

Camp Nano’s April session just ended yesterday, but the journey isn’t over, and neither are the challenges associated with being a writer.  It isn’t a month-long, or year-long process, but a lifelong love with its own rewards that have nothing to do with Amazon rankings or book sales.

Keep working. Keep trying. Keep believing. You still might not make it, but at least you gave it your best shot. If you don’t have calluses on your soul, this isn’t for you. Take up knitting instead. –David Eddings

Hey, knitting can be plenty hard work, too. All the following of patterns, the paying attention, the finding time to sit and knit (when one would also like to be writing), the fact that I can’t do it while watching movies or any other activity, really…it’s not as easy as some people would indicate. Though it is generally faster than writing. 🙂

Very true, but I suspect no one is leaving harsh reviews about your knitting projects on Amazon or Goodreads. 🙂
