The Weaving Word

Weaving together the threads that make up my passion for the written word…as an author, editor, and follower of The Word.

Journey to Aviad Blog Tour

Welcome to the blog tour for Journey to Aviad!  I am so excited to have this opportunity to reach out to both fans and potential new readers.  The book’s humble origins were a group of short stories and vignettes.  It took a number of years to transform them into the first of what will be a full series of high fantasy novels.  Lots of research and soul searching went into the creation of Journey to Aviad.  I can only hope that this resonates with my readers, and that they come to share my passion for the characters and their world.

I have a deep love for the fantasy genre which goes back to my childhood.  That was only reinforced by the time I spent living in Germany, surrounded by medieval structures, castles, and cathedrals.  I no longer had to imagine what such places must have looked like—I got the chance to see them, touch them, walk through their rooms, and along their walls.  The smell of damp stone still awakens my imagination, taking me back to some of the places I once visited.  Throughout my series, I have tried to invoke some of that imagery and make my imaginary world feel as real as the one we live in.

So join me on this tour to find out more about the book and its unique origins.  There will be multiple interviews, with me and with my main characters.  I look forward to interacting with my gracious hosts and readers as the week progresses.
